Meet the Director
Bridget Keddy: Bridget is a dancer, choreographer, vocalist, actor, performer, and instructor with more than 35 years of performance experience. She began dancing as soon as she learned to walk, and hasn't stopped since.
Bridget began formal dance instruction at the age of three at Missy Arts School of Dance in Boston and continued on to study advanced Ballet and Jazz with the renowned Don Bigger and Hip Hop at Lisa’s Dance Studio of Quincy. From there she graduated from North Quincy High School at the top of the Renaissance Performing Arts Program and continued her study at the Wang Center of Performing Arts. She was also accepted into the Handel and Hyden music society where she learned music theory and vocal training. At the University of Massachusetts Amherst she studied musical theatre and dance and now holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Massachusetts where she has participated in several dance and theatre productions. She is constantly continuing her dance education to this day by participating in instructors work shops through out the United States.
As an aerobics instructor at UMASS Boston and a dance instructor with ShoeStrings Dance Studio in Hanover, and Raquelle’s Dance Studio of Scituate for five years, Bridget’s enthusiasm in class was infectious. Her approach was to offer the finest dance education in a challenging, creative and highly supportive environment that contributed to student’s creativity and dance proficiency while maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere. Her popularity initiated the creation of two additional classes per season at each studio which eventually prompted her to live out her dream and open her own dance studio.
Bridget fell in love with cheerleading in her adolescences and went on to serve her community as the North Quincy High School Cheerleaders’ captain, and a volunteer North Quincy Apache Cheerleading coach. In 1997 she was selected to represent her community as an All Star Cheerleader for the National Cheerleaders Association and also assisted in the competition choreography that won her high school squad State Championship. In addition, in 1999 she offered to assist the newly formed South Boston Pop Warner Program with her dance, cheerleading and most importantly, choreographing skills, running introductory clinics for girls of all ages. She remained with the program as the “A” Team Cheerleaders’ head coach and choreographed all of the program’s competition routines. Her vision, technique and ability to identify and nurture each young woman’s strong points helped them win second place in only their second year of competition. As a member of the University of Massachusetts Amherst cheerleading squad and Dance Team she participated in the NCA/NDA Invitational National Championships in Daytona Beach where they were featured in Cheer magazine for executing the most difficult stunts in their competition routine.
Bridget has also performed in music videos, commercials, musical and dramatic theater productions and a major motion picture bringing a host of performance and training experience to her students. She was the choregrapher for "Singing in the Rain" that was performed at Footlights Theatre in Jamica Plain. Bridget also wrote, directed, performed, and managed multiple productions of "Natural Women." Bridget was also to head coach of the Notre Dame High School varsity dance team for several years building their program and transitioning many local studio dancers into a competitive high school dance environment. She also trains many students that also particiapte in competitive High School and College teams. Bridget is very active in her studio and choreographs many of the BDS competition routines . Her choreography has won mulitple awards and overall placements at local and national dance competitions. She takes pride in choreographing within her studio and creativing a family bonding experience for her students. She currently has been certified in acrobatic aerial arts and won a scholarship to attend the Dance Teachet Convention in Las Vegas to further her dance education, She is looking forward to many more years of teaching and choregraphing for all of her students.

Christine McCarthy: Dance Instructor and Ballroom Specialist
Christine has been dancing since the age of two. She began competing at age six and became a teachers assistant at age fourteen. While attending Fontbonne Academy she served as Dance club president and as drama club choreographer for two years in addition to performing in several productions.
After high school she graduated from Dean College School of Dance with high honors having majored in dance. She was an active member of the college's Dance team, student leaders and Phi kappa pi. During these years she began contracted work dancing at corporate functions held at various local hotels and foxwoods casino special events.
After college she accepted a position with Walt Disney Entertainment at the Disney world Resort in Orlando. There she performed in multiple parades and shows including Festival of the Lion King, Mickeys Jammin Jungle Parade and Spectromagic Parade. She also was part of opening cast of several holiday productions and resort special events as a dancer and certified stilt performer.
Since returning to Massachusetts in 2006 she has been teaching locally. She received her teaching certification in ballroom standard through Arthur Murray International as well as competed in both pro partnership and pro-am with students while with the company. She has directed and written several plays for the Westwood Elementary school system and choreographed Bay Colony of Foxboro (Orpheum Theater) summer children's theater programs. She has also performed roles in Hairspray and Rent for Orpheum Theater.
She joined the BDS team in 2009 and has loved having a home here in Braintree! She teaches little groovers, tip toes, basic classes, primary, elementary and intermediate levels in ballet, tap and jazz. She is also a coach on the competition team. She looks forward to many more years with BDS!

Meet Miss Megan
Megan is a recent graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she received her certificate of professional training in Dance Theater. Megan began dancing at the age of two at Joan's Olympic Gym in Weymouth. She then continued on to strengthen her training as a competitive dancer at Dance Works in Quincy. Her training consists of tap, jazz, ballet, and musical theater. She attended North Quincy High School as a dance major in the Renaissance Performing Arts Program. During high school Megan was selected out of thousands of dancers to tour the U.S with the dance company Dance Olympus as a V.I.P. She then decided to go after her dream and move to New York City to study at A.M.D.A with the hopes of becoming a professional dancer. Megan has been working within the industry for the past five years, from teaching dance to all ages, to modeling for dance catalogs, to now traveling and working for dance competitions. She is also currently auditioning to become a dancer on cruise lines. Megan is beyond excited to share her love and passion for dance with young and aspiring dancers like herself.

Meet Miss Kimmie
You may have seen this special lady at every recital since we opened. Now we want to officially welcome our studio manager, Kimmie Mackie, to the BDS Family. Kimmie has years of experience with children and was the director of a popular pre-school located on Wollaston Beach in Quincy MA. Kimmie then went on to work for the marketing department of Dunkin Donuts where she mastered skills in; public relations, sales, promotions, customer service, and more. We are so happy to have Kimmie as a part of our team.
